Why should I register?

Registration gives you access to the MiniSun Physical Activity Database. You may perform statistical and demographic searches on all of the data in database. You also have access to the Physical Activity Forum - a place for researchers and doctors to get together, swap ideas and discuss any physical activity related subject.

What is a statistical search?

A statistical search shows the minimum, maximum and mean values for a given set of data. For example, you may be interested to know the maximum walking speed of males aged between 55 and 65. A statistical search will show you this information, and much more.

What is a demographic search?

A demographic search also shows the minimum, maximum and mean values for a given set of data, but the range of selection criteria is much greater and the results are much more detailed. You can search by fitness level, BMI, height, weight, age, sex and even a specific type of disease. The results can be customized to show specific criteria, such as activity types, power, time and energy expenditure.

You may also view the information graphically, select the type of chart and the variables to appear on the chart.

What is the Physical Activity Forum?

The Forum is a place for anyone to ask questions and post comments relating to any subject in the physical activity field. Topics can be wide-ranging and posted by any registered member of the MiniSun Community.

Much of the MiniSun Community is comprised of doctors, researchers and other experts in physical activity fields. These respected members can use the forum to trade ideeas, answer questions and hold discussions.

What is the free CD?

When you register, you can choose to receive a free demonstration CD containing a movie of the IDEEA^® recorder and software. The movie shows some of the capabilities of the software.
